Sparkling Wine Delivery
France isn't the only one who can make sparkling wine, you know. Sparkling wine from Spanish regions is called Cava, or Prosecco from Italy. They're each made using different methods and have different levels of sweetness, but the best way to tell them apart is to try them all, so grab a few friends, make reservations at the nearest brunch spot within walking distance, and just go HAM.
What’s the Difference Between Sparkling Wine and Champagne?Champagne is pretty exclusive. Aside from being associated with royalty for the last 400 years, there are a whole bunch of rules about what’s required to call your sparkling wine “champagne”.
Technically, Champagne is made using Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, and Pinot Meunier grapes from the Champagne region of France. Then, there’s a second fermentation processes than causes the carbonation, said to have been discovered by the monk monk Dom Perigean in the 1600s.
Bubbles! You can actually tell a lot about a sparkling wine from the bubbles. The smaller the bubbles, the higher the quality of wine. Large bubbles are created by injecting carbon dioxide into the wine. They may look fancy but they pop quickly, which is a dead giveaway of a low-budget champagne.
