The Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon is our interpretation of a 'classic' Napa Cab. A combination of fruit from several of our estate vineyards.

A fine and exotic effort, the penetrating Vine Cliff Bien Nacido Chardonnay plays long on the palate; an excellent wine with grilled swordfish in a white wine reduction sauce.

91 PTS WINE SPECTATOR. The '98 Vine Cliff Cabernet is nicely oaked, with plush currant, coffee, black cherry, black berry, herb, juniper berry and spice, with rich, earthy, tannins.

88 PTS WINE SPECTATOR. The '05 Vine Cliff Napa Cabernet is well-focused on a mix of loamy earth, dried currant, sage and hazelnut-scented oak; gains depth and complexity on the finish.

92 PTS WINE ENTHUSIAST. The '03 Vine Cliff Napa Cab shows a classic Napa profile; beautifully ripe cassis and black cherry flavors, with a chocolate edge enriched with classy, smoky oak.

92 PTS Wilfred Wong. Soars to the head of the class with ripe, rich, and resolved flavors.

90 PTS WILFRED WONG. An intricate Cabernet, the '03 Vine Cliff offers firm structure with flavors of black fruit and tarry earth; excellent weight on the palate; excellent with a prime rib of beef.

90 PTS WILFRED WONG. Smooth, ripe, and delectable, the '00 Vine Cliff Cabernet stays nicely focused and performs admirably well in a vintage of unevenness; certainly a star by any standard.

91 PTS WINE SPECTATOR. Rich, creamy, full-bodied wine with a touch of oak tannins. Concentrated mix of fig, ripe pear and melon.

93 PTS WILFRED WONG. Incredibly refined and sophisticated, the bright built '01 Vine Cliff Oakville Cabernet exhibits ripe cherry, wild cassis, and sweet oak flavors; long and lusty in the aftertaste.

90 PTS WILFRED WONG. Edging more towards complexity than most Napa Cabernets in the category, the '01 Vine Cliff delicately balances all the elements of fruit, oak, and earth into a nice package.

91 PTS WINE SPECTATOR the 1999 Vine Cliff Reserve Merlot is ripe, rich and spicy, with pretty currant, plum and black cherry, picking up a touch of herb, tobaccoo and cranberry.

89 PTS WINE ENTHUSIAST. The '02 Vine Cliff Merlot is fully drinkable now, because the tannins are smooth, soft, & approachable, & the flavors are so lush and easy: cherries, blackberries, milk choc.

88 PTS WINE SPECTATOR. The '99 Vine Cliff Cabernet has crisp tannins, with core flavors of coffee, vanilla bean, mocha, currant black cherry are enticing yet quite restrained.

89 PTS WILFRED WONG. An explosion of ripe apples and peaches with a shading of oak makes the '05 Vine Cliff Napa Chardonnay one of varietal's darlings in the marketplace; simply a delicious wine.
