Dark russet color, the rich sweet smell of sherry is from the casks the whisky was gaed in. Full range of flavors are present on the palate, dark chocolate, figs, brazil nuts, and vanilla.
A 15 year old from the Springbank distillery with plenty of sherry notes and spice, dried fruits and nuts. Fragrant with a certain richness. Medium bodied and rich palate. There is palpable mastication from the oaked tannins with a hint of spice. Long finish with a gentle warmth.
World Whiskies Award 2014. Blended from a combination of bourbon and sherry casks, the light colour of this malt belies the richness of its charm. The nose has a wide variety of aromas, from citrus fruits to pears and a hint of peat, while the palate shows touches of smoke, vanilla essence, nutmeg, cinnamon and the salty tang characteristic of the distillery.
