Maison Roche de Bellene

Aux Boudots is directly adjacent to the legendary Aux Malconsorts Premier Cru vineyard in Vosne-Romanee. Boudots makes striking, full-bodied wines that are sexy, spicy and high toned, yet full of the power and volume that Nuits-Saint-Georges is known for. Often referred to as an iron fist in a velvet glove.

From 50 to 68 year old vines in one of the most highly regarded villages of the Cotes de Nuits. Chambolle-Musigny is known for the elegant, delicately floral style of its wines.

The commune of Chassagne-Montrachet makes almost equal quantities of both red wines from Pinot Noir, and whites made from Chardonnay. The particularly high quality of the whites is responsible for the commune's good reputation, and has led to a marked increase in white wine production during recent times.

This appellation lies on both sides of the town of Nuits-St-Georges, and incorporates the vineyards of neighbouring Premeaux-Prissey to the south. The wines are are typically sturdy and long lived, although those from sites neighboring Vosne-Romanee to the north show the most fruit and elegance.

Dark flavors of black cherry and black currant mark this Gevrey. There's a hint of vanilla and other spices as this glides to a long finish. Turns crisp at the end.
