94 PTS WINE SPECTATOR. The '00 Quinta do Vesuvio has a lovely nose of plums, chocolate and berries, with hints of spices; full-bodied, with superfirm tannins and a tight tannin structure; refined.

From one of the vineyards in Porto, the '98 Quinta do Vesuvio is a compact yet ripe wine that is one of top performers on the vintage; this wine has moderate grip and requires six-ten years of aging.
