90 PTS WINE SPECTATOR. The '05 Ch Meyney has aromas of currant and fresh flowers follow through to a medium-to-full body, with chewy tannins and a slightly woody finish, but the fruit comes through.

It is good to see this well-situated estate in St.-Estephe get back on track. The 2010 has loads of beef blood, charcuterie and smoked game along with black currant fruit.

92-95 PTS WINE SPECTATOR. '09 Chateau Meyney could be one of the best ever; loaded with beautiful spice and blackberry character; full bodied and quite silky on the palate; balanced with a long finish

89-91 PTS WINE SPECTATOR. The '06 Ch Meyney is very attractive, with lots of blackberry and currant character; full-bodied, with chewy tannins and a long finish; impressive.

88 PTS WINE SPECTATOR. Love the spicy, nutmeg and floral nose to the '00 Ch Meyney; medium-bodied, with well-integrated tannins and a medium finish; best after 2007.

86 PTS WILFRED WONG. Firmly built and pleasing on the palate, the rustic, down-home '99 Ch Meyney is one St Estephe's top wines; enjoy the wine's slight rough style with a brisket of beef.

Well-developed and complex, the rustic '75 Chateau Meyney has aged well and is now showing excellent age and maturation.
