89-91 WINE SPECTATOR. The '04 Talbot is quite impressive for this vintage; raisiny, almost jammy undertone and interesting coffee and wood character; full bodied and chewy on the finish.

90 PTS WINE SPECTATOR. The '01 Ch Talbot is one of the best they have produced ever; perfumed with blackberry and hints of earth; full bodied, silky tannins and generous fruit flavors on the finish.

89 PTS WINE ENTHUSIAST. The '07 Ch Talbot has smoky aromas, sweet fruit and soft tannins; developing well but quickly; offers juicy black berry fruits, rounded texture and bright finishing acidity.

91 PTS WINE SPECTATOR. The '06 Ch Talbot displays blackberry, sweet tobacco and green coffee aromas; full-bodied, with soft tannins and a caressing texture; has a really lovely mouthfeel.

92 PTS WINE SPECTATOR. The '05 Ch Talbot has sweet tobacco, berry and currant aromas follow through to a full body, with soft, silky tannins and a fresh, racy aftertaste of currant and mineral.

A beautiful wine that is reaching its peak. Pretty aromas of plum; berries; and earth. Medium to full bodied with firm tannins and a deep finish. Enjoy now through 2005.

93 PTS WINE SPECTATOR. Beautiful aromas of raspberries, Indian spices, crushed flowers and berries; the '00 Ch Talbot is full-bodied, with a solid core of ripe fruit and silky tannins; delicious.

86 PTS WILFRED WONG. A solid performance for Chateau Talbot, the '98 comes across with excellent tart cherry aromas and flavors; bright and lively on the palate; great with chicken in lemon sauce.

85 PTS WILFRED WONG, The '97, a soft Talbot, exhibts red cherry flavors with hints of Bordeaux herbaciousness; easy on the palate, this would be a great choice for game hens accented with rosemary.
