86-88 PTS STEPHEN TANZER. The '06 Ch Potensac has currant, tobacco and a rocky minerality on the nose; supple on entry; modest sweetness but a savory character and good vinosity.

88 PTS WINE SPECTATOR. The '04 Ch Potensac has aromas of chocolate, berry and cedar; medium- to full-bodied, with fine tannins and a long, fruity finis; this is very good; rich and layered.

90 PTS WINE ENTHUSIAST. The '07 Ch Potensac has good density, with impressive tannins and very dry core of structure; has weight, with cranberry and red berry flavors shining through.

87-89 PTS STEPHEN TANZER. The '05 Ch Potensac has raw black cherry and pepper on the nose; spicy, pure and juicy, with somewhat austere flavors of cassis, licorice and black pepper.

An outstanding bargain! Consistent performance! Deep opaque color, sweet mineral-tinged blackberry and cherry fruit aromas and flavors. Medium bodied with plump supple finish. Drink now through 2008.
