Château l'Eglise Saget

This is a classic Bordeaux, aged in oak barrels: dry yet appetizing with tangy fruit and lovely tannins. Deep violet with a fragrant nose of ripe plums, cherries and vanilla. Rich damson and mulberry flavours and a delicious lick of creamy oak.

87-88 PTS WILFRED WONG. Drinks exceptionally well now, the soft-spoken '07 La Petite Eglise is expertly made with tender loving care; bright red fruit flavors abound.

90-93 PTS STEPHEN TANZER. The '07 Ch l'Eglise-Clinet has lively aromas of black raspberry, coffee, licorice and bitter chocolate; firmly built, spicy and long on the aftertaste.

Dark ruby color; black cherry and crushed black currant aromas; lush and very concentrated flavors; this second wine of Chateau L'Eglise Clinet is truly one of the better values in Bordeaux.

88-91 PTS WINE SPECTATOR. The '09 La Petite Eglise is medium-bodied, with silky tannins and a fresh finish; there's plenty of sweet fruit in this second wine; 100% merlot.

90 PTS WILFRED WONG. Ripe, plummy and nice, the endearing '06 La Petite Eglise delivers plenty of juicy, ripe fruit flavors; round and textured on the palate; long and lacy in the aftertaste.

93 PTS WINE SPECTATOR. The '03 Ch Eglise Clinet has blackberry, mineral and chocolate aromas galore; full-bodied, chewy and rich; tightly wound with loads of fruit and ripe tannins; needs time.
