88-90 PTS STEPHEN TANZER. The '04 Ch d'Armailhac has cassis, black cherry, minerals, flowers and sexy cedary oak on the nose; the flavors of cassis and minerals are juicy and nicely delineated.

93 PTS WINE ADVOCATE. A sensational wine; the '10 d'Armailhac shows complex floral notes intermixed with forest floor, camphor and black currants; this is a full-bodied beauty that will age nicely.

92 PTS WINE ADVODATE. The finest tasted to date from this producer, the '09 Ch d'Armailhac is a dense purple color; asphalt, black currants, mocha, bbq smoke, cedar and spice; medium to full-bodied.

87-89 PTS STEPHEN TANZER. The '07 Ch d'Armailhac has blueberry, cassis and bitter chocolate on the perfumed nose; juicy, spicy and nicely delineated, with good energy and tension in the mouth.

89-91 PTS WINE SPECTATOR. The '06 Ch d'Armailhac has lovely licorice and currant aromas follow through to a medium-to full-bodied palate, with fine tannins and a soft, fruity finish.

90-93 PTS ROBERT PARKER, JR. The '05 is one of the finest d'Armailhacs I have ever tasted; has aromas of black currants, creamy oak, and earth; should be drinkable in 4-5 years.

89 PTS ROBERT PARKER, JR. The '02 Ch d'Armailhac has notes of compost, black currants, espresso roast, and some soy; a relatively powerful and concentrated wine; big, bold, and rather aggressive.

91 PTS WINE SPECTATOR. The '03 Ch d'Armailhac has loads of currant, berry and light toasted oak on the nose with hints of milk chocolate. Full-bodied, with velvety tannins and a medium-long finish.
